AML / KYC Policy

Last updated Sep 24, 2026 08:04 UTC

Cryptomo is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions evasion through Cryptomo. This policy summarises the measures we apply.

1. Customer due diligence (KYC)

  • Merchants may be asked to verify their identity (government ID, selfie or proof of address) and, for companies, their business (registration documents, beneficial owners).
  • Verification may be required before withdrawals, before accepting payments, or when activity reaches certain thresholds. Enhanced checks apply to higher-risk businesses and countries.
  • We may request information about the source of funds and the nature of the merchant's business at any time.

2. Prohibited businesses and sanctions

We do not serve persons or entities on international sanctions lists, residents of comprehensively sanctioned countries, or the prohibited businesses listed in our Terms of Service.

3. Monitoring

We monitor accounts and transactions for unusual patterns, such as payments inconsistent with the stated business, rapid movement of funds, or links to known illicit addresses. We may delay, hold or refuse transactions while we investigate.

4. Reporting

Where required by law we report suspicious activity to the competent authorities. We are not allowed to tell the person concerned that a report has been made.

5. Record keeping

Identification and transaction records are kept for at least five years after the business relationship ends, or longer if required.
